Sterilization Technician 

Full Job Description
Hiring position for Sterile Processing Technician. This position is responsible for the performing decontamination and sterilization of equipment, machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities Preferred Skills and/or Experience:
· CRCST certification preferred but not required. Sterile Processing Technicians, also known as Medical Equipment Preparers, are devoted to maintaining a clean surgical environment by inspecting, cataloging, and sterilizing all surgical instruments and equipment.
· Experience with Good Documentation Practices and Record Maintenance
· Ability to follow exact instruction(s) with repetition and accuracy
· Assist with Inventory Management
· Ability to work on your feet without breaks for up to 4 hours at a time.
· Positive attitude and good communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities
· Repetitive Processing activities. Cleaning, Decontamination and Disinfection of equipment, supplies.
· Testing and reporting efficacy of sterilization equipment.
· Maintaining supply inventory for processing sterilization activities.
· Set up equipment and perform mixing, cutting, packaging and sterile transfers for the assigned work area. Assembling equipment and supply carts as needed to facilitate daily processing activities.
· Troubleshoot problems with equipment/processes, alerting maintenance or supervisors as needed. Use computerized systems in manufacturing and documenting activities Accurately documenting all activities on paper and/or electronically .
· Perform packaging duties as assigned per supervisor. Assist processing staff with daily cleaning responsibilities.
Providing support for all of the back office through delivery of supplies, reagents, equipment and assisting with duties when needed.
· Demonstrate hand-eye coordination and attention to detail while performing a series of repetitive operations requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
Certified Dental Assisting Certification.
